Talking about therapy in a relaxed but informative way.
I would like to introduce Jordon Bamford, after having therapy he began Shining a light on Suicide
We talk in this episode about suicidal ideation and the fears associated with suicide, Jordon's journey and his feelings about therapy, before and after .
His realisation therapy could enhance his relationships and allow him to get to know himself better which in turn helped him feel safer with his thoughts and able then to support others.
Of course this was a sensitive subject and at times was challenging but there was a long discussion about whether this was beneficial to him or not, he concluded it was and that he had always felt if he could help others he would. I felt this was brave and generous of him.
Being really heard is what can help, all the odd thoughts all the surprising realisations can lead to new hope new resilience.
